Rheumatism Drops
Ingredients:
Berberis D4, Calcium phosphoricum D12, Causticum Hahnemanni D6, Dulcamara D4, Nux vomica D4, Rhododendron D4, Rhus toxicodendron D4
Ethanol, Aqua pur.
Indications:
• Acute and chronic myalgia
• Lumbago
• Rheumatic complaints
• After-effects of drenching, sprains, overstraining
• Back pain of unknown origin
• Growing pains in muscles and bones
• Sciatica from getting wet or sitting on cold surfaces; suppressed perspiration
• Chronic articular rheumatism with deformities
• Spondyloarthritis, spondylosis, sacroiliac arthritis
• Rheumatic aches in muscles, joints, ligaments—aggravated by humidity or temperature change
Mode of Action:
• Berberis: Acute, undefined lumbar pain; acid urine; gravel
• Calcium phosphoricum: Weakness in neck/spine muscles; deformed bones; worse in damp weather; constitutional action
• Causticum Hahnemanni: Lumbar pain (esp. on getting up); neck rigidity; neuralgic pain; painful, stiff joints
• Dulcamara: Neuralgic and articular rheumatism; weakness, rigidity; sacral shivering; worse in damp/cold, better with warmth
• Nux vomica: Crushed feeling in loins; worse at night/sitting; dorsal rheumatism post-chill; great nervous tension; liver involvement
• Rhododendron: Small joint rheumatism; symptoms worsen before storms/rain
• Rhus toxicodendron: Limb dislocation sensation; aftermath of drenching/suppressed sweat; worse at night/resting, better with motion/heat
Dosage:
• Acute pain (lumbago, sciatica): 10 drops in water every ½–2 hours
– Once improved (1–2 days): 10 drops every 1–2 hours
– For ongoing recovery: 10–15 drops, 3 times daily
• Chronic cases (muscular/articular rheumatism, spondyloarthritis, spondylosis):
– 10–15 drops, 2–3 times daily until improved
– Then 10–15 drops once daily or every other day for maintenance
Remarks:
• Acute rheumatic polyarthritis: use R1 and R6
• Intervertebral disc prolapse with sciatica: alternate with R71
• Intercostal neuralgia: use R69
• Sacral back pain in women (from pelvic disease): see R50
• Osteoarthritis: additionally use R73
• Acute joint rheumatism: see R1 and R24
• Shoulder, arm, hand rheumatism: see R46
• With osteoporosis: add R34
• For all rheumatic types: R61 (ointment) and Atomare-Beckeron R30 have proven effective
