Description

Indications: Stimulation of the endogenic defence system in epigastric syndrome, particularly in chronic diseases of the liver and pancreas or in acute attacks (e.g. after dietary indiscretions); physiosis (abdominal distension); congestion of the portal vein.

Contraindications: Pregnancy and lactation. Side effects: None known. Interactions with other medication: None known.

Dosage:

Solution: In acute disorders daily, otherwise 3-1 times weekly 1 ampoule

Composition: Leptandra D2, Quassia amara D3, Podophyllum peltatum D3, Arsenicum album D4, Carbo vegetabilis D10, Niccolum metallicum D10, Phosphorus D6 1g each. Contains 35 vol.-% alcohol. Solution: 2.2 ml cont.: Leptandra D2, Quassia amara D3, Podophyllum peltatum D3, Arsenicum album D4, Carbo vegetabilis D10, Niccolum metallicum D10, Phosphorus D6 22 _l each.

Product status

Homeopathic medicinal product for liver and biliary disorders.
The indications are derived from the homeopathic drug pictures.
These include liver and biliary disorders with digestive complaints.

Contraindications

Must not be used if you are allergic to any of the active substances or other ingredients of this medicinal product.
Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in children and adolescents under 16 years of age.

Precautions for use

In cases of jaundice, persistent, unclear, or newly occurring symptoms, a doctor should be consulted,
as these may be conditions requiring medical clarification.

In adolescents aged 16 to 18 years, Leptandra compositum should only be used after consultation with a doctor.
Dosage should be determined by the doctor.

This medicinal product contains less than 1 mmol (23 mg) sodium per ampoule, i.e. it is essentially “sodium-free”.

Interactions

The effect of a homeopathic medicinal product may be adversely influenced by generally harmful lifestyle factors
and by stimulants and luxury foods. If you are using other medicinal products, ask your doctor.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used, or intend to use other medicinal products.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults should inject 1 ampoule 1 to 3 times weekly by intramuscular (i.m.),
subcutaneous (s.c.), or intravenous (i.v.) route.
As symptoms improve, the frequency of use should be reduced.

Ampoules should be used immediately after opening. Opened ampoules must not be stored or used later,
as the sterility of the injection solution can no longer be guaranteed.

Duration of use

As with all medicinal products, homeopathic medicinal products should not be used for prolonged periods
without medical advice.

Instructions for use

Do not use a double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicinal product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects

Like all medicinal products, this medicinal product can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Note: When using homeopathic medicinal products, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen
(initial aggravation). In this case, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

Instructions for opening the ampoule

Coloured dot facing upwards. Allow solution in the ampoule tip to flow downwards by tapping or shaking.
With the coloured dot facing upwards, pull the ampoule tip backwards to break it off.
Open the ampoule carefully and follow the instructions.

Composition

1 ampoule of 2.2 ml (= 2.2 g) contains:

  • Veronicastrum virginicum Dil. D2 – 22 mg
  • Picrasma excelsa, Quassia amara Dil. D3 – 22 mg
  • Podophyllum peltatum Dil. D3 – 22 mg
  • Acidum arsenicosum Dil. D4 – 22 mg
  • Carbo vegetabilis Dil. D10 – 22 mg
  • Niccolum metallicum Dil. D10 – 22 mg
  • Phosphorus Dil. D6 – 22 mg

Active substances 2 to 7 are potentized together over the last 2 steps with water for injections.

Other ingredients: water for injections, sodium chloride.

Pharmaceutical form and pack size

Liquid dilution for injection. Packs of 10 and 100 ampoules of 2.2 ml.

Storage

Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the container and outer packaging.
No special storage conditions are required.
